Show Notes

Join the Society for a visit to The Black Museum! Orson Welles was the host of this unique anthology of crime stories inspired by real events. “The Gas Receipt” is based on the case of Frederick Browne and William Kennedy—a grisly murder archived in Scotland Yard’s legendary Crime Museum. Although the museum is normally only open to law enforcement, some of the disturbing exhibits were recently displayed at the Museum of London! How does the gas receipt fit into this story? How does this show compare to modern police procedurals? Did someone record Orson Welles taking a nap? Listen for yourself and find out!
